The Foreign Ministry’s walk-in apostille and general attestation services in Islamabad, along with its liaison offices in Karachi and Lahore, have been temporarily stopped.
The ministry in Islamabad and its liaison offices in Karachi and Lahore are using courier services to provide document attestation services in order to make apostille and general attestation services easier for the general public. It invites people to go to certain locations for general and apostille attestations.
In an effort to improve accessibility and transparency, the Foreign Ministry announced earlier this month substantial modifications to the apostille verification processes for commercial, legal, and educational papers.
In the past, apostille attestation appointments were frequently obtained by agent monopolies, who would then resell them at outrageous costs, taking advantage of the applicants’ need for expediency.
