Jake E. Lee is aware and “is expected to fully recover” after contributing to the writing of the 1983 album Bark At the Moon.
“As the incident is under police investigation, no further comments will be forthcoming,” a representative for the performer stated.
According to Las Vegas police, the incident took place in a neighborhood about ten miles from the Strip on Tuesday at around 2.40 a.m.
The police department stated that its investigation was still ongoing and that no arrests had been made.
In the 1980s, Lee, now 67, played guitar in a number of bands, including an early Ratt, amid the glam metal scene of Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
