ISLAMABAD The government has banned nearly 52,000 people from traveling in a significant effort to stop human smuggling, sources told Geo News on Monday.
Sources close to the development claim that 52,520 persons have been prohibited from traveling overseas.
Pakistanis deported from the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, notably Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), are subject to the limitations.
The sources further disclosed that these persons’ passports have been added to the Passport Control List (PCL) by the Directorate of Passport and Immigration.
The new list of prohibited individuals has also been sent to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
