ISLAMABAD: The high-level Civil Service Reforms Committee is about to give the decades-old Central Superior Services (CSS) examination system the all-clear.
According to a committee source who spoke to The News, the group has finished discussing the majority of important topics, including a plan to overhaul the CSS test system as it is.
To promote specialists over generalists in Pakistan’s civil service, the committee intends to suggest to the government a change from the current generalized CSS framework to a cluster-based examination system.
The committee is anticipated to present its recommendations to the government shortly, as there is just one meeting remaining to finalize changes to the pension and compensation plans.
The implementation of a cluster-based competitive examination is a significant change brought about by the proposed reforms.
