The Foreign Office has declared that it is “investigating the matter” in relation to the protesters’ “ambush” of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa’s car in the UK.
FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated, “We believe that protests should be within the bounds of decency,” during a press conference on Thursday in Islamabad.
The Pakistan High Commission, which grants select people access on moral grounds, owned the car that the protesters jumped on.
The former CJP was on his way to a high-profile dinner hosted by The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple for his promotion on Tuesday night when a group of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters stopped and ran over his car. The FO’s comments come a day after that.
