Requesting that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issue a public apology for the riots on May 9, 2023, Attaullah Tarar, the minister of information, published “exclusive” CCTV footage of violent protests on May 9, 2023, which showed demonstrators from the purported former ruling party burning and damaging government and military facilities.
“The evidence is undeniable,” Tarar declared during a news conference in Lahore, when he displayed images, audio recordings, and videos accusing top PTI leaders of planning assaults on national martyrs’ memorials and vital facilities.
“It is now up to the courts to ensure swift justice,” the minister declared, urging them to make decisions about the May 9 chaos as soon as possible.
According to him, comprehensive video proof, such as CCTV footage from towns like Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and others.
