ISLAMABAD The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which was formed by Imran Khan, has hailed the establishment of the government’s committee for discussions as a “positive” step in the wake of the highly anticipated development.
The comments made by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan coincide with growing optimism about a potential conversation between the opposition and the ruling coalition.
In response to the former ruling party’s demand for civil disobedience, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made a significant move on Sunday by establishing a high-level body to interact with the PTI.
“We view the creation of the committee as a positive move. In response to the development, Barrister Gohar stated that “meaningful dialogue based on positive intentions should be held.”
He emphasized that the possible discussions should have a clear timeline and that, given the delicate nature of the subject, the conversation must advance constructively.
