The government’s campaign against energy theft has yielded significant outcomes, including the recovery of 10.893 billion rupees and the arrest of nearly 84,000 people nationwide. This program is a component of larger attempts to boost the country’s economy and deal with the public electricity crisis.
The competent authorities in Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad retrieved more than 6.86 billion rupees from electrical thieves in August alone. 4.13 billion rupees more were retrieved from Quetta, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Peshawar.
The campaign’s goal is to totally abolish electricity theft across the country, with the backing of both military and government leadership. Until this aim is accomplished, authorities are steadfast in their will to carry out their operations.
