RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media wing on Monday, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, the Chief of the Australian Army, visited with General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and praised Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts.
The two people discussed topics of common interest, including the regional and international security environment, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
COAS Munir emphasized Pakistan’s gratitude for its relationship with Australia at the meeting, pointing out the value of solid bilateral ties in advancing common objectives of peace and stability.
The ISPR added that both parties reaffirmed their resolve to deepen defense and security cooperation, acknowledging the importance of ongoing cooperation for regional and international peace.
Lieutenant Stuart, meanwhile, praised Pakistan’s efforts.
