According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, a group of five young men were targeted by a drone near a mosque in Tubas on Wednesday morning. An ambulance crew then transported the deceased men’s bodies to the government hospital in the city.
According to the Israel Defense personnel (IDF), during counterterrorism operations by security personnel in Tubas and the neighboring town of Tamun, an aircraft attacked a “armed terrorist cell.”
Later, an Israeli military officer reported that the operation included the declaration of a curfew in Tubas.
According to the spokesman, the government hospital has been surrounded and people may only enter and leave after being vetted by security.
According to a report by the Palestinian news agency Wafa, there have been extensive raids by Israeli forces on several neighborhoods and the city’s periphery.
Wafa added that Tulkarm and its camps for refugees were the site of a second day of an Israeli military offensive.
A Palestinian man and woman were killed in Tulkarm on Tuesday by gunfire from Israeli soldiers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Regarding the incident, the IDF remained silent.
It occurs a few days following the biggest Israeli operation in the West Bank since the conflict in Gaza that followed Hamas’s strike on Israel on October 7.
