Mr. Yousaf has survived the lows of his predecessor Nicola Sturgeon’s incarceration as well as the highs of his promised freeze on council taxes.
One year on, Mr. Yousaf acknowledges that “there’s still a lot more to do to deliver for the people of Scotland” but believes the position is still the “greatest honour” of his life.
Speaking on a daily basis, Mr. Yousaf stated, “I am honoured to lead a government guided by clear values, and I am absolutely committed to continuing to make Scotland a better place for everyone who calls it home to live, work, and study.”
Speaking to News, Mr. Yousaf declared that he would keep pushing for Scottish independence moving forward and that, in the event that Sir Keir Starmer wins the prime ministership in the upcoming general election, he will apply for a Section 30 Order to organize a second referendum.
