Alan Ritchson talked about how he was sexually molested early in his career and tried to terminate his life by hanging himself.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the 41-year-old actor on his difficult path to fame, disclosing that he was frequently “sexually abused” while modeling.
The actor told the publication that he was hired for a nude photo shoot with a “very famous photographer” with the expectation of receiving a “lucrative campaign afterwards.”
Ritchson described the business as “legalized s** trafficking” before disclosing that his photographer had “sexually assaulted” him.
The Reacher actor stated that he quit the company after the sad event, but he also mentioned that it was his final photo shoot and that the images were “never published.”
That concluded it. Thank God, acting discovered me just in time. I swore it off. I was able to change careers as a result, although it left some wounds,” he continued.
Even though Ritchson’s profession had changed, he still had to go through another terrifying ordeal when he partnered with someone for a movie fund, who then made a false accusation of sexual assault and threatened to “come to her room or she would destroy the business.”
