LAHORE: On Sunday night, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 held its grand opening ceremony at the Lahore Fort’s iconic Diwan-e-Aam.
Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), spoke at the ceremony and stated that the world cricket community was keeping a careful eye on Pakistan’s preparation for the competition.
He called it a “great honor” for the nation to host the event. Naqvi further emphasized that in order to guarantee a good event, the Gaddafi and National stadiums were renovated in record time.
The event will represent the warmth and love of the Pakistani people, the chairman said, reaffirming PCB’s dedication to presenting Pakistan’s rich culture and hospitality to the world.
