The Nanbai Association was given an order by the Islamabad district administration to sell roti at a reduced price, but the association did not carry out the directive.
The Nanbai Association has been selling bread at their original, inflated rates rather than at lower prices.
Because Nanbai declined to lower the price of roti and naan, they are only available for Rs. 25 and Rs. 30 respectively in the federal capital of Islamabad.
While the cost of naan was lowered to Rs20, the price of roti was dropped to Rs16. The price of rotis in Islamabad and Lahore, the country’s capital, has been at a standstill.
Azma Zahid Bukhari, the Punjab government’s spokeswoman and minister of food, stated on Wednesday that district administration has been introduced.
