According to The Cool Down, Elon Musk declared in 2020 that he will “sell almost all physical possessions” in order to focus on building rockets, electric car technology, and managing his other companies.
The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla then sold all of his assets and moved into a rented home in Boca Chica, Texas, which houses SpaceX’s testing and research center.
The biographer for Elon Musk, Walter Isaacson, gave a behind-the-scenes peek inside the humble mansion of the world’s richest man in a tweet posted on the social media platform X.
The description read, “Musk decided to sell his five grand houses and to have as his primary residence this spartan two-bedroom house in Boca Chica, TX, where we would meet and he would sit at this wood table and make phone calls.”
A portion of Musk’s living room and a simple open kitchen were shown in the picture. A wooden coffee table is in the center of the living room, and a large man’s jacket is slung over one of the dining chairs in the kitchen.
Isaacson stated that he will go over the reasons for the billionaire’s decision to reduce in his next book, Elon Musk, which is scheduled to be released on September 12.
