Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) praised Pakistan’s victory in the 1965 war, referring to it as a “war of integrity and survival” for the country.
Pakistan’s military forces successfully protected the nation against an enemy four times larger than themselves, smashing their aspirations in the process.
The Air Marshal said, “The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) met the expectations of the nation during the war.” He underlined how crucial the PAF’s actions were in stopping the enemy’s advances at every turn, so impeding the Indian army’s attempt to seize Lahore.
The Pakistan Army was also commended by the Air Marshal, who highlighted the bravery of the army’s soldiers—known as the “Shahbaz.”
