ISLAMABAD: Two days after the Capital Development Authority (CDA) sealed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in the federal capital, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered its de-sealing.
During the hearing of a plea filed by the KP government, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq announced the court’s directives.
According to the legislation, the authority can issue notices to seal the property, Justice Farooq informed the CDA counsel. “Avoid giving the impression that you are aiming at someone.”
During the hearing, the authority’s attorney made arguments claiming that the site has been used for illegal building and that certain outstanding dues from the 2014 notice to the KP administration are still outstanding.
