KARACHI: As part of efforts to increase security at the nation’s megacity’s airport, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is prepared to implement more stringent entrance procedures following a terrorist attack at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi a few days ago.
Last month, a huge explosion on a road close to the airport killed three people, including two Chinese nationals, and injured at least sixteen more.
Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar, the home minister of Sindh, responded by saying a day earlier that the police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) had captured three terrorists, including a lady, who were involved in a deadly explosion.
A copy of the traveler’s ticket must be presented by anyone arriving at the airport to pick up or drop off travelers, according to recently announced regulations.
