At the city’s exhibition center, the 19th Karachi International Book Fair (KIBF) got underway Thursday. More than 330 booths were put up to serve guests from all walks of life.
During the Expo Center’s opening ceremony, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated, “I like to purchase books and occasionally I borrow them from friends without giving them back.” “There is nothing that compares to the joy of turning the pages of a book.”
He was joined at the event by the mayor of Karachi and the provincial minister of education. Halls 1, 2, and 3 are where the event is being organized.
With more than 330 vendors, the five-day book fair attracts sizable crowds of adults and children. There are 40 organizations from 17 nations participating in the event.
