Playing Ghostface killer Stu Macher in the first “Scream,” Matthew Lillard is making a comeback to the show.
The actor posted a video of himself writing a line from the 1996 movie that his character said: “My mom and dad are going to be so mad at me!” on Instagram.
Given that his character died at the end of 1996’s “Scream” after a television fell on his head, Lillard was the most current cast member to be revealed, which caused confusion.
“Scream VI” made light of the long-standing fan notion that Stu secretly survived. However, it’s not clear if Lillard’s comeback means Stu is still alive or if he would be portraying the role in hallucinations or flashbacks.
