The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) veteran politician Pervez Khattak, 74, has recently made news for breaking a splinter out of the group. In an attempt to save face and time, he registered the offshoot under the same name and simply added “Parliamentarians” at the end.
Khattak, who was formerly practically inseparable from Imran Khan, is currently the head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P).
The turban, a symbol of honor, distinction, and pride for Pashtuns as well as other ethnicities across Pakistan, is being used by the party, which was founded weeks before the votes. After the terrible events of May 9, 2023, Khattak made the decision to leave the PTI. Now, he is attempting to undermine the mandate of his former party, which was refused the use of its famous election symbol, the cricket bat, by the Supreme Court.
