Aftab Alam Afridi, the law minister, introduced a measure to expand the privileges of provincial ministers, which the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly approved on Monday.
The recently passed bill states that KP ministers will receive Rs 1 million to renovate the government-provided home. Additionally, the measure permits provincial ministers to purchase refrigerators, air conditioners, drapes, and carpets for their homes.
Additionally, the measure stipulates that provincial ministers will receive Rs200,000 per month in rent if they reside in a private residence.
The bill, which sought to boost the financial advantages for cabinet members, was moved by the KP Assembly in October.
The opposition criticized the change, claiming it contradicted the frequently stated assertions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders.
