The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s information adviser, Barrister Ali Saif, criticized the federal government on Saturday for not addressing Afghanistan’s terrorism issue and claimed that Pakistan’s security issues were directly related to those of its neighbor to the west.
Barrister Saif, who acknowledged that terrorist networks operate from across the border, asked why the government was not negotiating with Afghan authorities during an appearance on the news show Pakistan.
He questioned, “What is preventing them from bringing Afghanistan to the table if they are aware of the issue?”
“They are not interacting with Kabul directly or permitting others to do so. Our people are being targeted, so let’s speak with Afghanistan.
