A new life insurance program will be introduced by the provincial administration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on January 1st of the upcoming year. The province government would provide all funding for the programme, which is expected to cost Rs4.5 billion a year.
Families of deceased household heads will receive financial support from the government as part of the program. If the death takes place at a government hospital or any other hospital on the Sehat Sahulat Card panel, the payout would be given.
For those who pass away before the age of 60, the insurance payout will be Rs. 10 million, and for those who pass away at or over the age of 60, it would be Rs. 5 million.
