Aftab Alam, the law minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said on Sunday that the provincial administration has firmly opposed the creation of a constitutional bench at the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
“The decision regarding the formation of a constitutional bench at the PHC — under the framework of the 26th Constitutional Amendment — is being contested in court,” the provincial minister stated in a casual conversation.
“There are no plans in this area from the provincial administration. The law minister went on to say that the matter’s legal aspects were being examined.
