The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) administration has banned cell phone use during school hours in all government schools throughout the province. This decision strives to reduce distractions while improving the learning environment for kids.
A letter from the Directorate of Education to district education officers underlines the negative impact of cell phone use on student learning. It requires teachers and staff to avoid from using mobile phones during school hours.
The instruction specifically underlines how mobile phones might disrupt the learning process and divert students’ attention away from their academics. As a result, instructors are asked to collect mobile phones from all staff members at the start of each school day. In case of emergency, staff members are urged to contact the PTCL landline.
Furthermore, the regulation states that staff workers may only use their mobile phones during specified breaks or while classes are not in session. Furthermore, any requests to capture images or movies using mobile phones must be allowed by the leaders of the relevant educational institutions.
This program by the KPK government reflects growing worries about the negative impacts of excessive mobile phone use on academic performance and general student well-being.
