After paying $4 million for the estate in 2012, the star listed his roughly 9,000 square foot residence for $12.9 million. The Wall Street Journal claims that Renner invested $5.5 million on upgrades, which included building a detached recording studio, leveling the sloping site, and tripling the size of the home.
Renner has already stated unequivocally that he intends to stay on this property, saying he wouldn’t have undertaken such a large renovation if he had intended to move out.
