There is still no decision by the Lahore district administration over whether to allow the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest that is planned to take place in the city on September 21.
Not a decision has been made yet, even after the PTI submitted three applications, one of which came from Ahmed Khan Bhachar, the leader of the opposition.
On September 16, Ahmed Khan Bhachar made his third request—moving the rally date from September 22 to September 21—to the Lahore district administration.
This request comes after two previous ones, one of which was filed by Umar Ayub, the leader of the PTI. Bhachar has also asked for all of the petitions to be combined into one document and decided by the district administration.
The length of time required to get police clearance, a need for any decision, is what caused the decision to be delayed.
