Day after its release confirmation in the Narendra Modi-ruled nation on October 2, the historic Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt, which created history in both domestic and international theaters, “appears to be facing trouble” in India, the Times of India reports.
The film starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan will not be allowed to be released, according to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), an opposition organization in India founded by Raj Thackery.
Pakistani films would not be permitted to be released in India, according to politician and producer Ameya Khopkar. “Neither the release of Pakistani films nor the participation of their artists in Indian films will be permitted.”
