“I loved my dad, and I was losing my dad,” remarks Oakland, California-based James.
He was resolved to spend as much time as possible with his father. “I did an oral history project with him, where I just spent hours and hours and hours just audio recording his life story.”
James’ concept quickly changed because this was the period when he was beginning to look at a career in artificial intelligence.
“I thought, gosh, what if I could make something interactive out of this?” he replies. For a means of preserving his memories more fully and a glimpse of his character, which was so engaged.
