The government of Balochistan has formally begun enforcing the new minimum wage for workers, which is Rs 37,000 per month.
The pay increase, according to the Balochistan Department of Labor and Manpower, will help a wide range of workers, including laborers in the commercial and industrial sectors and small-grade employees.
The same minimum wage will apply to underage laborers as well, providing more security for marginalized populations.
