ISLAMABAD According to sources who spoke with News, an employee of the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports who had been missing since May 30 was located on Saturday.
Sources claim that when his family reported Assistant Director Mohammad Hayat Tarar missing, Tarar personally called the police.
According to the sources, Tarar’s brother Sadaf Hussain had filed a writ suit for his brother’s disappearance at the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
At Tarar’s brother’s request, the court had mandated the filing of a case against the passport officials. They were accused by his family of detaining the assistant director unlawfully.
Hussain did, however, provide a statement to the IHC stating that his brother had “voluntarily absented himself from the scene for” the duration of the official’s call with the police.
