Kelly Osbourne, a media personality and former guest host of “The View,” has spoken out about the infamous incident in which she unintentionally offended Latinos on the show.
For the first time since it occurred in 2015, Osbourne discussed the gaffe in public during a recent interview with Rolling Stone, calling it the “most cringe moment of my entire life.”
The remark was made during a conversation on “The View” concerning Donald Trump’s immigration policies at the time he was just starting to run for president. “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?” Osbourne questioned in front of her co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie Perez, at the time.
Her controversial comment has contributed to a recent TikTok trend in which users joke about the consequences of deporting particular groups of people.
Sharon Osbourne admitted to being “too greedy” after her use of ozemppics, saying she “paid a fortune” to appear attractive.
Osbourne instantly realized that she had just made a mistake. Osbourne stammered, “In the sense that – you know what I mean – what I’m saying?” as several of her co-hosts gasped audibly. “Oh, that’s not…” was Perez’s halting response to her remark, which is now also a part of the TikTok trend.
Osbourne issued an apology at the time for her “poor choice of words” in a statement, but she also stated that she would not take responsibility for her racism because she is not.
The Ozzy Osbourne daughter is content with the video, even though it has been back on social media for almost ten years. It’s the most cringe moment of my life, she said to Rolling Stone. However, observing people use creativity with it makes my face smile.
She went on, “It turns something so ugly into something funny,” alluding to the recent memes created using the old flub.
