Daisy Ridley, who will be appearing in the new Star Wars movie, is giving fans a preview of what to expect from the far-off galaxy as the film attempts to take the story in a “different direction.”
Rey Skywalker stated in an AlloCiné interview, “So I thought about it for a little bit and once I knew what the story was and everything, I knew it was something I really wanted to do.”
“It’s a really fantastic exploration of the Star Wars world,” the speaker continued. It’s a pretty awesome approach to move the plot in a somewhat different direction.”
While filming on The Rise of Skywalker, Daisy recalls that she received an offer to appear in the upcoming film directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
“Well, that was quite impromptu. Last year, she recalled, “I was actually making my own film when Kathy Kennedy said she wanted to have breakfast.”
And I was practically eating my meal when the 31-year-old said, “And I thought we were just having breakfast, so she said, ‘Oh, we might do another one.'” I said, “…all right.”
Aside from Daisy, there are three more Star Wars movies in development. Dave Filoni and James Mangold will each have their own director. While it was recently confirmed that Jon Favreau will direct Grogu and The Mandalorian.
