In a legal lawsuit filed in Houston, Texas on Monday, the lady is suing Watson for $1 million (£764,000) claiming that she was involved in an incident with him while they were out on a date in October 2020.
The NFL further stated that since no criminal charges have been filed and the investigation is still ongoing, Watson will not face an immediate suspension.
Regarding the situation, the Browns declare that they will “respect the due process” and “follow the NFL’s guidelines”.
Watson was fined $5 million and suspended for 11 games without pay in August 2022 after an investigation into several complaints of sexual misconduct.
He was charged with inappropriate behavior and sexual assault that happened during massage sessions between March 2020 and March 2021.
Two grand juries determined that there was insufficient evidence to indict Watson after he refuted the accusations. In the summer of 2022, he later came to private agreements with 23 of the 24 women.
In March 2022, the 28-year-old signed a five-year contract earning an NFL record of $230 million (£174.4 million), leaving the Houston Texans.
He participated in Sunday’s season-opening loss to the Dallas Cowboys for the Browns.
