KARACHI: Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) sit-ins against the Parachinar crisis reached their ninth day in various parts of the city on Wednesday, leaving residents of the port city reeling from the traffic mayhem brought on by road closures.
MWM protesters and Sunnat wal Jamaat (ASWJ) workers, whose protests started on Tuesday, are currently staging sit-ins at seven different places throughout the city.
The road from Kamran Chowrangi to Mosamiyat and the highway from Abul Hassan Isphahani Road, Abbas Town, towards Sohrab Goth are both stopped, according to the traffic police.
Both the road from Water Pump to Ancholi and the track leading from Numaish Chowrangi to Guru Mandir are closed.
