ISLAMABAD: In a swearing-in ceremony held at the highest court on Friday, Chief Justice Yahya Afridi of Pakistan delivered the oath to the six recently appointed Supreme Court judges.
President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointments of the new judges, which include former chief justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar of the Balochistan High Court (BHC), former chief justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui of the Sindh High Court (SHC), senior puisne judge Salahuddin Panhwar of the SHC, judge Shakeel Ahmad of the Peshawar High Court (PHC), former chief justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), and former PHC chief justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim.
As an acting apex court judge, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb was also sworn in by CJP Afridi.
