According to recent rumors, A$AP Rocky, a well-known rapper and member of the A$AP mafia, Rakim Athelaston Mayers, may be about to purchase stock in the League Two team.
Rocky was set to purchase a share in the club as part of an American investment group led by attorney Joe Tacopina, according to a report from News earlier this week.
The revelation was first reported by the Sun on Sunday, which stated that Rocky and his company will pay approximately $15 million (£11.6 million) to purchase 80% of the Birkenhead-based club.
Currently co-owners of the team with his wife, former FA boss Mark Palios alluded to potential negotiations between Rocky’s group and himself, as well as other parties, in an interview with News on Thursday.
You’ll understand, I’m covered by non-disclosure agreements, not just with Joe Tacopina, who’s linked to A$AP Rocky, but with other parties who are looking at the club, he remarked in response to the question of what his favorite A$AP Rocky song is.
