RAWALPINDI: According to the military’s media wing, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has stated his determination that the Pakistan Army, working with law enforcement agencies (LEAs), is committed to eradicating terrorism and extremism in all of its manifestations in order to restore long-lasting peace and stability throughout the nation.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations on Sunday, the army chief made these comments while visiting the Wana region of the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The Corps Commander Peshawar greeted him when he arrived at Wana.
The COAS was given a thorough briefing on the current security situation and continuing counterterrorism operations during the visit, according to the ISPR.
He spoke with the officers and the soldiers and praised their resoluteness and perseverance.
