A video advisory from the consulate advises Pakistani expats in the UAE, particularly those coming on visit visas and seeking employment, to familiarize themselves with and abide by local rules and regulations.
“The purpose of this video is to inform Pakistanis in the UAE and those traveling here about local laws, as well as their rights and responsibilities, to help them avoid legal issues,” said Hussain Muhammad, consul-general at the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.
The advise warned against breaking local laws as it may result in court appearances, possible jail time, fines, or even deportation.
In the video, it was mentioned that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai is the place to verify visas given to citizens of Pakistan.
