ISLAMBAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has blasted the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for “using state resources for launching an onslaught” on the federal capital during the PTI’s recent three-day protest, calling it a “fitna” [mischief] in relation to its recent “do-or-die” demonstration.
The premier instructed that lawsuits be filed against these “groups” and declared, “This is not a political party but a fitna [mischief] and a group of terrorists.”
The prime minister said this at a high-level discussion about the nation’s state of law and order.
The premier blasted the troubled PTI, whose administration was overthrown in April 2022 by a no-confidence resolution, calling it the “fourth invasion” of the capital.
