Since last month, Punjab, especially Lahore, has been suffering from a severe smog problem. Vibrant satellite photography now shows the dense, poisonous clouds.
Notably, the satellite imagery from NASA Worldview shows not only Pakistan but also the dense pollution clouds engulfing northern India, according to press reports.
The black haze that covered the streets and obscured buildings in Lahore and Multan has spread like a blanket.
Both Lahore and New Delhi can be seen clearly in NASA’s satellite photographs, despite their dense smog and lack of greenery.
Furthermore, Lahore’s air was found to be the most filthy in the world on Tuesday, according to IQAir, a Swiss air quality technology business.
