This past weekend, Houghton University president Dr. Wayne D. Lewis Jr. strongly objected to biological males playing women’s sports after witnessing his student-athletes lose to them in a sporting event.
In his lengthy letter titled “In Defense of Women’s Athletics,” Lewis, the sixth president of the upstate private Christian university in New York, makes a strong case for action.
“It is incorrect for biological men to participate in women’s athletics,” Lewis, the university’s first African-American president, wrote. “The majority of the globe and Americans are aware that it is incorrect.
