The Sindh government has approved a scheme to introduce 500 totally electric buses into Karachi’s transportation network, and it has directed relevant departments to complete the necessary paperwork. This is a significant step towards upgrading the city’s deteriorating public transit infrastructure.
According to an official statement released by the CM House on Saturday, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah made the decision while presiding over a joint meeting of various departments to assess the status of the various projects that would be started with the help of donor agencies.
Provincial ministers Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Shah, Jam Ikram, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, and other relevant authorities attended the meeting, which took place at CM House.
