According to PML-N politician and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is more responsible than the government for the recently passed 26th Constitutional Amendment, which has blocked Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s path.
With the help of allies like the PPP, the Shehbaz Sharif-led government approved controversial legislation in both the lower and upper chambers of parliament that established constitutional benches, fixed the duration of the position, and altered the process for selecting future CJPs.
Sanaullah called the PTI a chaotic party in an interview with the BBC on Thursday, saying, “Whoever they support ends up facing damage.”
