ISLAMABAD PTI officials’ contradictory remarks about the alleged “offer of Imran Khan’s house arrest” have further muddled the process amid ambiguity around the outcome of the much-discussed talks between the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Aleema Khan, the sister of the PTI founder, was mentioned in a story in The News as saying that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur made the offer. Sher Afzal Marwat and Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the party’s leaders, had different opinions.
Aleema told reporters Tuesday that proposals for negotiations had been made “since the beginning” but that there hasn’t been any direct communication with Imran, following their visit at Adiala jail.
She revealed that at Bani Gala, Imran was given the option of house arrest.
