In preparation for a future app upgrade, Meta-owned messaging program WhatsApp is now working on a revamped call menu feature for conversations and groups.
WABetaInfo took to X to inform that some beta testers had access to a call link functionality in both solo and group chat.
This feature makes it easier to start voice or video calls by enabling users to rapidly generate call links straight from the chat interface.
It further stated that the chat attachment sheet, which can be accessed by tapping the attachment icon in the conversation bar, now has the new call link shortcut.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is reportedly creating new features to further improve user comfort, especially by making calling tools more accessible.
