The nominees include triathlete Alex Yee, football player Jude Bellingham, cricketer Joe Root, darts player Luke Littler, runner Keely Hodgkinson, and paracyclist Sarah Storey.
On Tuesday, December 17, voting will take held during the One and iPlayer show.
The show, which will be televised live from MediaCityUK in Salford and hosted by Gabby Logan, Alex Scott, and Clare Balding, will commemorate a year of amazing athletic events.
Sport’s director, Alex Kay-Jelski, declared: “The shortlist is outstanding. This year, all six have kept us on the edge of our seats, demonstrating their incredible talent.
“I’m looking forward to reliving each of their successes on the night and finding out who audiences want to be rowned Sport Personality of the Year 2024.”
