Karachi: On Saturday, the Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1972, was amended for the fourteenth time by the provincial government.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the chief secretary, board secretaries, and others attended the reforms committee meeting.
Proposed changes include creating a steering committee to manage the boards’ operations, increasing the governing authority’s jurisdiction, and ensuring that the board is fairly composed.
The Sindh government or its designated agent is referred to as the controlling authority under the current legislation. Meanwhile, the new law suggests that the chief minister of Sindh or his appointed agent will be in charge of all bodies.
