After claiming that a smear test saved her life, a lady who survived cervical cancer has argued for the value of these examinations.
Peterborough resident Stacey Roberts, 37, who was diagnosed with the illness at age 34, has been in remission for three years and says she is “proud” of her experience.
Despite the fact that a cervical screening can prevent 75% of cervical cancers, according to NHS England, only about one in three women accept their invitation.
